When you get to the top, there is actually a second, lower rotating floor beneath the main deck that is indoors, but made for much better views and photos on a rainy day. The elevator gives commentary on the way up that is also very entertaining, and it took me a minute to realize it was supposed to be stupid. This elevator is the only one in the world that uses this exact glass and cables, and where you can get this exact view.

Whenever you're feeling glum about the way the world has turned out, beat a hasty retreat to the promises of "Century 21." That was the theme of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. A great marketing film at the time captured the mood desired by corporations and sponsors. Near the end of the film a singer croons: "Ride a rickshaw, dine on caviar, you can telephone a star!"
It could be argued that none of these things came true in your century 21, or maybe all of them did!
